Welcome to Crooked Tree. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of crookedtreewoodworks.com and the purchase of any custom furniture or related services.

By visiting our website or submitting a custom order, you agree to the following terms:

1. Custom Work Disclaimer

All pieces produced by Crooked Tree Woodworks are custom, handcrafted items.
Variations in grain, color, texture, and natural imperfections are expected and are part of the character of exotic hardwood furniture.

No two pieces are identical.

2. Payment Terms

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin any custom build.
  • Remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to delivery or pickup.
  • Delays in final payment may delay delivery.

3. Lead Times

Typical production time ranges from 6–12 weeks, depending on:

  • Material availability
  • Design complexity
  • Workload
    Lead times are estimates, not guarantees.

4. Changes & Modifications

Any design changes requested after the order is placed may:

  • Increase cost
  • Extend lead time
  • Require written approval

We reserve the right to decline modifications that compromise structural integrity.

5. Wood Characteristics

Natural wood may:

  • Expand or contract with humidity
  • Develop minor hairline movement
  • Shift slightly over time

Proper home humidity (40–55%) is recommended. These occurrences are normal and not considered defects.

6. Warranty

We warrant structural integrity for 1 year under normal indoor use.
This warranty does not cover:

  • Water damage
  • Heat damage
  • Sun fading
  • Scratches, dents, or misuse
  • Customer modifications

7. Returns & Refunds

All sales are final.
Due to the handcrafted and custom nature of our work, no refunds or returns are accepted.

8. Shipping & Delivery

  • Delivery fees are calculated based on location and item size.
  • Customers must inspect items upon receipt.
  • Damage during third-party shipping must be filed with the carrier.

9. Intellectual Property

All designs, images, content, and product descriptions are the property of Crooked Tree Woodworks and may not be reproduced without written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Loss of use
  • Damages due to environment or misuse
  • Delays outside our control
  • Third-party shipping issues

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the piece.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
