COMPLETE SERVICE AGREEMENT

This Custom Service Agreement is made between Crooked Tree Woodworks and the client. By approving a quote or submitting a deposit, you agree to the terms below.

1. Scope of Work

Crooked Tree Woodworks will design and build a custom furniture piece according to the agreed-upon specifications, including:

• Selected hardwood species
• Chosen slab
• Dimensions
• Base style
• Edge profiles
• Finish system
• Functional elements (drawers, cable pass-throughs, etc.)
  
  

Any deviations from original specifications must be approved in writing.

2. Payment Terms

• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve materials and begin the build.
• Final balance is due before delivery or pickup.
• Work does not leave the shop until full payment is received.

Payments are accepted via invoice, credit card, bank transfer, or approved methods.

3. Lead Times

Typical production takes 6–12 weeks, depending on:

• Wood availability
• Design complexity
• Seasonal demand
  Lead times are estimates. Handmade work cannot be rushed.
  
  

4. Material Disclaimer

We use natural hardwoods, each with its own:

• Grain pattern
• Mineral streaks
• Color shifts
• Knots & voids
• Texture variations
  
  

These are not defects. They are signatures of authenticity.

Wood may expand, contract, or subtly move with temperature and humidity. Proper home humidity (40–55%) is required.

5. Design Changes

Any client-requested changes after production has begun may result in:

• Additional charges
• Extended lead time
• Material re-selection
  We may decline modifications that compromise structural integrity.
  
  

6. Delivery & Pickup

• Delivery fees vary by location.
• Third-party freight may be used for oversized items.
• Client is responsible for ensuring adequate entry clearance (stairs, doors, hallways).
• Damage during third-party shipping must be filed with the carrier.
  
  

7. Warranty

Your piece is covered by a 1-year structural warranty (see Warranty Certificate below).
This warranty excludes damage caused by:

• Misuse
• Moisture exposure
• Cleaning chemicals
• Heat exposure
• Sun fading
• Poor humidity control
  
  

8. Cancellation Policy

All custom orders are final.
Deposits are non-refundable once materials are purchased or work has begun.

9. Intellectual Property

All designs, images, and written content are the property of Crooked Tree Woodworks. Reproduction requires written consent.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Utah.
